Brenda Grubbs

Brenda drives twin 1969 Camaros; one in NHRA Stock Eliminator and the other in Super Stock.

Brenda is a multi-time NHRA National and Divisional winner. She is also a Division Champion, and Jeg’s Allstars Stock Champion. She has multiple wins in IHRA at both National and Divisional events. In addition, she was the 2002 IHRA Stock World Champion.  

A National Account Executive for a major food manufacturer, she and her husband Bill, reside outside of Houston, Texas. She got her drag racing passion from her Dad, Bob Lundholm who spent many years bracket racing before building a Stock Eliminator car. During her teenage years, she worked in the tower at New England Dragway and drove a 1972 Nova to high school.

Brenda got her start in racing when her husband Bill persuaded her to buy their 69 Camaro and she began racing in the Street Class at the local track near Fort Walton Beach, Fl. Her first Stock Eliminator Race was in December of 1999 at the NHRA Open held in Orlando, Florida. 
Brenda is a feature writer in the NHRA Dragster magazine. Her column titled “Travels with Brenda” highlights sportsman racers. Brenda has been featured in numerous media outlets including ESPN 2, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Popular Hot Rodding Magazine, TNN, St Petersburg Times and the Buffalo News.

Bill Grubbs

As the team’s crew chief, Bill plays a big role in the success of this unique husband and wife team. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in engineering, Bill entered the United States Air Force to become a pilot. 
Bill retired from the United States Air Force and is currently a pilot for a major airline. When not flying airplanes, Bill enjoys working on the cars and has a strong desire to know why/how things work and how things are interrelated. A few years ago, Bill was named NHRA Division 2 Sportsman Wrench of the Year for 2008.
